Apple Refreshes MacBook Air

Looking to upgrade or replace an aging MacBook Air?

Well, there's no better time than the present!

Earlier this week, Apple announced updated/refreshed models of the 13 and 15-inch MacBook Air with M4, a 12MP Center Stage camera, a new "Sky Blue" color option, and a lower starting price of $999 and $1,199 ($100 drop from last year’s M3 models), respectively.

The MacBook Air remains a favorite with its balance of portability, performance, and price while offering flexible user configurations.

Even at the $999 base configuration which includes Apple M4 with a 10-core CPU / 8-core GPU / 16-core Neural Engine, 16GB of unified memory, and 256GB SSD, cost-conscious users get quite the bang for the buck albeit sacrificing a couple of cores on the GPU and less on-device storage.

Not a major issue provided your workflow isn’t GPU-intense and you primarily work off external and/or cloud storage. However, keep in mind that if you use apps that require significant on-device storage, you’ll probably want to bump up the SSD to a minimum of 512GB.
